Little things. On the art of slow living, with Ode to Sunday

Sunday is when the everyday life speed is put on pause. When we stay in bed longer with a café au lait, put some music on and wear a linen robe till noon, when we finally decide to leave the house for some fresh air and flowers, warm bread and a bottle of wine for the evening. We find our way into the day slowly, we put our phones down and enjoy a day with no plans, before starting to prepare for the new week, later in the evening. It’s a time to rest and to recharge. It’s fuel for the soul. It’s the feeling of sunkissed laundry and warm pancakes and the inviting smell of an afternoon cup of coffee. Sunday is about taking things slowly and letting the mind and body wander. It’s enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Friends. Family. Warmth. Noticing the things that matter. The same sentiments are inspired by the brand Ode to Sunday . With lines that resist the rules of fast fashion and that encourage a mindful approach to the way to choose our clothes. Produced in Lithuania, in a sustainable way, the pieces from Ode to Sunday are beautiful and functional. Besides the fact that linen, as a fabric, has a low impact on the environment (flax requires no irrigation or chemical treatments and it is biodegradable) it also full of character. Relaxed, with its softly rumpled look, it tells stories of the daily life and of the simple moments that need to be celebrated. It reminds us that delicacy and a strong character can beautifully coexist.

The simple yet elegant and comfortable cuts from Ode to Sunday , remind us that life is made of modest moments and that we should appreciate the simple things, like a morning walk to the beach, a nice conversation with an old friend or the smell of the grass after a summer rain.

Their design focuses on the uncomplicated, the joy and the grace of a mundane moment. It’s an ode to simple and beautiful moments in life.
