Our favorites lately
Somehow this year I realized that we don’t have much time to make our dreams come true and although we have embraced a slow way of life for a while now, I have this strong feeling that we should do more of what makes us happy. Find time to be together and also to do the things we love. Explore the world with our boy and live every day differently.
A wish I always had was to know more about the world of art. It was my childhood dream to learn to draw or to play an instrument, and it’s something I never seemed to find time for, but I’m trying to change that.
So here are some things we’ve been trying lately and a few links to inspire you: - jazz concert in a church
- a visit to a new museum every month
- books about musical instruments for Radu from Kyralina and this is how we discovered that he likes classical music and we ended up booking tickets to a clarinet concert on his request
- listening to a cello concert on the stairs of the Romanian Athenaeum while eating ice cream
- book tickets to Art Safari Bucharest. Art exhibitions for us, and sculpture and painting workshops for Radu
- following Anna’s list of favorite art books ( Anna Kövecses )
- documenting a trip to Copenhagen just to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (actually not just for that, but my reasons for visiting Denmark deserve a separate post)
Instagram has been a good place for discovering nice ideas and projects lately and I can't wait to share a new series of articles soon, featuring amazing creators. And maybe a new list of favorites "Made in Denmark".
What's the idea of all this list…there a lot of things we can do to pursue our passions. Some of them are not expensive at all and they are also a fun time for all the family. So take that step and tomorrow do something you've been postponing for a long time!
