There will be a summer

In praise of calm mornings with a refreshing breeze. White linen shirts, the summer heat, the comfort of the shadows, the countdown to the holidays that are just around the corner. In praise of the picnics by the water, the cold watermelon after a beach day and tired children feet after endless hours of play. The summer reads, the long al fresco dinners, the laughter and the lights hanging in the garden or on the balcony. The smell of citronella candles, the laundry hanging to dry outside, the sound of the music coming from a picturesque courtyard and a bouquet of olive branches on your table. Whether you’re spending summer in the city or exploring the wilderness of the countryside, organizing large gatherings with friends or just enjoying a calm and simple breakfast in a nice Airbnb with sea view, don’t forget to sit, savor end enjoy. Be present for the small moments that really matter. I usually make a list of things that we want to do in summer. But this year I left it all blank on purpose. Just to live in the moment, enjoy an impromptu beach getaway and also a rainy day cooking our favorite pasta. June is a time of slowness although the days are full. But I did took a moment to curate a list of favorite things for the summer. From fun activities to wardrobe essentials and a few summer reads. Hope you’ll enjoy it: 1. The most beautiful clothing for kids from Repose Ams and Façade . All comfortable and colorful, perfect for endless hours at the playground. 2. Nourishing care line by Courtney and the babes 3. The string collection from Studio Belle-Soeur 4. Vegetable art crafts for the rainy afternoons with kids. Inspired by _porteart 5. Market basket and Ella sandals from Mikanu 6. A linen throw from Catsandboys , to carry around in your bag for an impromptu picnic in the park 7. Something special. The Alborada earrings from Sabellar 8. For every summer day. The Marni dress from Ren London 9. Books to love : Rupi Kaur The Sun and her flowers, Carolijn Braeken motherhood — a memoir of our first year, Fumio Sasaki Goodbye, things: the new Japanese minimalism 10. Everyday considerations : prepare a simple and colorful tortilla with summer vegetables and invite friends over for dinner. Prepare little handwritten menus to make everything feel more intentional
