Staycation. The reading list
It's still dark outside when I wake up and although the heating goes on in the early morning I still feel the need to wrap myself in a soft linen cardigan, while the coffee is brewing. A sign that the chilly autumn mornings are here. And also the time when our daily rituals change and we embrace the shift in seasons, welcoming the months of staycation. The whole place is filled with candles and blankets and there's always something baking in the oven. If during summer we come home just to sleep, as the weather gets colder our home becomes our sanctuary. Because the good thing about the cold, is that it slows everything down. It gives us time. To open that box with board games, to spend hours with friends over a homecooked meal, to go through all those books and magazines (old and new) on the nightshelf, to enjoy the morning silence and play a podcast while making the avotoast for breakfast.
And with that being said here are a few of my latest favorite articles&podcasts. Some about travel, others about life and slow living. Some more easy going, others more deep. But all going perfectly with a warm cup of coffee on a cold November morning.
